NIFU’s communication activities respond directly to the needs of its clients and users. In addition, NIFU has its own report series. The staff regularly publish in a number of national and international professional journals. The institute publishes the journal Forskningspolitikk (Research Policy). NIFU has the editorial responsibility for the report Det norske forsknings- og innovasjonssystemet – statistikk og indikatorer (The Norwegian Research and Innovation System – Statistics and Indicators), published by The Research Council of Norway. NIFU’s activities are increasingly focussed upon interdisciplinary cooperation. The institute organises regular seminars on themes associated with its fields of interest, frequently attracting contributors from abroad. Broader conferences where researchers, politicians, leaders and administrators from the public and private sectors meet and participate, are also hosted. The institute library comprises the most comprehensive collection of material relating to research policy in Scandinavia.
