External Relations

NIFU STEP tailors its output to the individual needs of its clients and users. To disseminate results more broadly, NIFU STEP also produces a series of reports, and promotes publication of its research in books, articles, and at conferences. The reports are available at the NIFU STEP web site, and many of them are published in English.

The research institute also hosts the monthly journal Forskningspolitikk (Research Policy), NIFU STEP is furthermore responsible for editing the report Det norske forsknings- og innovasjonssystemet - statistikk og indikatorer (The Norwegian research and innovation system - statistics and indicators), to which it contributes extensively. This national report is published by the Norwegian Research Council. An English language version is available.

The institute regularly arranges seminars which frequently feature international experts. The institute is also responsible for conferences that bring together researchers, politicians, industry leaders and administrators. Furthermore, NIFU STEP has the most comprehensive research policy library in Scandinavia.
